All best before dates are published on the product page, just above the ‘add to basket’ button.

If a product has passed it’s best before date, we also include this in the product description to help draw your attention to this fact.

Our products have travelled a long way, literally from the other side of the world. Shipping is slow and encounters many delays completely outside of our control. Our business is small and we are required to order per container, so our deliveries are few and far between.

We try to determine how much of what we’ll need, but it’s all guess work at best. Sometimes we don’t get enough and the product will be out of stock for a while. Sometimes we get too much and it passes it’s date before it’s sold.

Because our products have travelled so far, we think it’d be such a damn shame just to bin it out once it’s reached it’s best before date. So long as they’re stored appropriately, many shelf-stable products are absolutely fine to consume long after reaching these dates. We apply a 25% discount in the month the product reaches it’s best before date, and then a minimum of 50% discount after that, so you get to enjoy a big discount whilst helping us avoid unnecessary food wastage!

Many people use the 2 terms interchangeably, however there is a big difference!

An expiry date relates to fresh produce such as meat, dairy and vegetables. The date relates to how long a product is safe to eat.

A best before date, however, relates to shelf-stable food items. This date refers to the minimum guarantee of quality of the product, and not how long it’s safe to eat.

You can find more information about the differences here: eufic

As mentioned above, our business is small and  containers arrive infrequently. Chips in particular have a very short shelf life, unfortunately we simply don’t get enough deliveries in a year to keep them in stock (and in date!) year round.

The fix? Please register your email for an in-stock notifier for the product of interest, then you’ll be the first to know when it’s back in stock.

Track and trace information will be emailed to the email address provided once the courier has scanned your parcel for the first time. If you haven’t received it, please check your spam box first. Not in there? Then please contact us.

Unfortunately we are unable to provide any definite delivery time frames.

Typically, transit time will vary between 1 and 2 weeks. For Belgium and neighbouring countries, delivery can be much quicker. The further away from Belgium, the longer it can take.

The time of year can also have an impact. The busier it is with the couriers (eg. at Christmas time), the more delays we can experience. So please take this into consideration, especially for parcels required for a cetain date (such as a birthday).

Our advice: always order a week earlier than what you should need to get your parcel delivered. It’s always better to to be a little too early than a little too late!

No, we don’t. Just a small warehouse out the back of our home where we store stock and pack orders.

Some people prefer to collect their order, we get that. Perhaps you happen to be passing through West Flanders, or just want to hear a familiar accent, no dramas! The only thing that we ask you is to plan a date and time with us beforehand, to make sure that there’s someone about and that your order is ready to go.

Wait! Before you go...

Do you have 2 secs for us?

We'd love to know how you heard about us...
