We have just ordered and started to scoff Billy’s Australian meat pies. They are the real thing and should be exported to Australia, where meat pie production has by and large fallen into the wrong hands. Billy understands that an Australian meat pie is made with minced meat and contains a generous amount of gravy, topped with a flakey pastry lid. Many years ago when I was a young youth, Australia used to be home to something called Sargent’s meat pies. No other pie could compete with Sargent’s. Billy now does.
